Post Meridiem is the latest digital release from Pushing Reality, and it seeks to further define Pushing Reality as an artist. RSVP, his previous release, revolved around a story of love in various forms written by his collegiate music mentor; while it achieved its goal of sonically expanding the realm of Pushing Reality as an artist, it did not truly stand alone as a Pushing Reality release as it was best realized alongside the original theater performance it was written for.
Seeking to express himself independently, Post Meridiem was written in and specifically for the night. From the time the sun begins to set to the moment it rises, this EP was produced within the creative environment it sought to express. According to Stephen: "Personally, this EP represents the feelings and moods that I begin to feel when the darkness starts to crawl across the sky. As the day winds down, I find myself reflecting on what I had read, seen, or done, and preparing for what's next. Those reflections and preparations usually cover a wide variety of emotions. The music I wrote encapsulates those very emotions, which, by the sound of this EP, happened to be reserved and unsure, given the state of things as they are now in the nation as well as in my own personal life."
